The Problem: Waste and Need Coexist

Globally, nearly one-third of all food produced is wasted. In Qatar, where food security is a national concern, this issue becomes even more urgent. Meanwhile, low-income workers and families face food shortages, not because there isn’t enough food, but because it isn’t reaching the right people.

The Wa’hab Solution

Wa’hab bridges this gap by rescuing surplus food from businesses, events, and households — food that is still safe, fresh, and nutritious — and redirecting it to those who need it most. Through careful sorting, packaging, and delivery, our trained volunteers ensure that meals maintain dignity, hygiene, and quality.

How It Works

• 1. Collection: We work with partners like hotels, supermarkets, and caterers to collect untouched, excess food using refrigerated and hygienic transport.
• 2. Sorting & Packaging: Food is quickly evaluated, with edible items packaged in clean, sanitized environments by trained volunteers.
• 3. Distribution: Meals are delivered to trusted community organizations, charities, and labor camps, ensuring food reaches people with care and respect.
